​Tell us a little about yourself:

My name is Duncan Maguire, I'm a 43 year old engineer from Sussex in southern England. I've been interested in photography since I was a child. I bought a DSLR in 2005 and I've been shooting a lot since then.

​Are you an amateur or a pro photographer?

I would say I'm an enthusiastic amateur.

 

What do you like to photograph?

​I live on a farm in a rural area, I like to photograph nature, sunrises/sunsets etc. I also like

photographing beautiful women as they're the most wonderful things in creation.

 

​What is in your photography kit?

I have a few Olympus mju-ii film cameras, also a D200 with a 12-24 nikkor and a 70-200mm f/2.8 nikkor.

 

What's your favorite lens?

the 70-200 is a really useable lens :)

 

​Any favorite photographer(s)?

Larry Burrows, Don McCullin, Tim Page.

 

​Which is your own favorite picture?

I think my picture 'the shaft' is pretty good and reminds me of home.

In order of importance: Creativity, Light, Filters, Lenses, Camera.
