​Tell us a little about yourself:

My name is Wil (Wilamoyo). I am from England in the UK. I have been interested in photography for many years but more seriously for about 10 years.

​Are you an amateur or a pro photographer?

I am an amateur Photographer although I am now selling some photos in Stock Photography (Getty Images).

 

What do you like to photograph?

​FineArt/Landscape/Nature/Model etc) I like to photograph anything or anybody that interests me. I do a lot of outdoor shots of nature, I especially like close ups. I have a background in art and design so enjoy showing unusual angles of diverse subjects.

 

​What is in your photography kit?

Canon EOS 50D, Standard zoom lens, wide angled lens, telephoto lens and macro lens. Equipment changes as the years pass!

 

What's your favorite lens?

Macro 100mm because by showing detail we see something extraordinary. Also it is easy to create interesting bokeh and depth of field.

 

​Any favorite photographer(s)?

I do not have a favourite photographer. However I do look at many photos both by professionals and amateurs alike.

 

​Which is your own favorite picture?

I choose 'The Japanese look' as a favourite - I guess because it typifies my interest in showing an artistic image through photography. In essence - reality in abstract, becoming art.

What is your dream?

​To be able to spend a lot more time taking photos and displaying them.
 

​Any advice or great tips to share?

Don’t be afraid or self conscious when photographing in public. Use your eyes more than your brain in choosing subject matter. Do not be afraid of making mistakes…we often learn this way. As someone once said, ‘your first 10,000 photo’s are your worst!’
