Tell us a little about yourself:

Michael Corfield. I live in the Midlands in England. I guess I've always been vaguely interested in photography and envious of the ability to get great images, but my interest has only been "serious" since getting my DSLR less than two years ago.

Are you an amateur or a pro photographer?

Enthusiast only

What do you like to photograph?

Outdoor/Nature/Landscape but love the random challenges presented by the DPS assignments!

What is in your photography kit?

Canon EOS 450D (Digital Rebel XSi)
Canon 18-55mm kit lens
Canon 55-250mm
Canon 50mm prime
polariser filter

What's your favorite lens?

Probably the 55-250 because it allows me to "fill the frame" most easily!

Any favorite photographer(s)?

Haven't really latched on to any one in particular, but I do like Peter West-Carey because of his DPS tutorials which have been so helpful and I like his style.

Which is your own favorite picture?

See picture at the bottom of the page. This is the sort of image I would see in magazines but never thought I would be able to get close to getting.

What is your dream?

To move away from the urban environment to the countryside, and to be able to wake up before dawn with the energy to get out with my camera!

Any advice or great tips to share?

None
