Tell us a little about yourself:

I've had a passing interest in photography my whole life, but I got into toy photography in 2009.

Are you an amateur or a pro photographer?

I consider myself an amateur photographer.

What do you like to photograph?

I enjoy tabletop photography, mostly toy-related stuff.

What is in your photography kit?

My primary camera is a Nikon D50. I often use a macro lens, a small Gorillapod, and a 43 inch Opteka translucent disc reflector. The rest of my gear is small cheap items like LEDs, flashlights, sticky notes, clear plastic cups, etc.

What's your favorite lens?

My favorite lens is my macro lens because I'm often photographing small subjects.

Any favorite photographer(s)?

My favorite photographers are my brother Stephen Hancock and my friend Ed Steele.

Which is your own favorite picture?

I guess my favorite photo would have to be my YMCA stormtrooper photo, because I know it has brought smiles to people all over the Internet. Technically, it is actually not a great photo, but that is okay.

What is your dream?

To give people a giggle.

Any advice or great tips to share?

You don't need to spend a lot of money to take good and interesting photos.
